L'actu moto

Situé sur l’île de Wight, le circuit d’Arreton marquait la seconde visite du Mondial au Royaume Uni, quelques mois après Matchams Park. Cette fois le temps était excellent, et pour la première fois ce mois-ci les chemisettes ont remplacé avec bonheur les cirés ! Offrant de multiples trajectoires et comportant à la fois des sections classiques et des portions typées Supercross, le circuit à fait l’unanimité auprès des pilotes qui ont pris beaucoup de plaisir en course.

MX1

4^e chrono des essais, Stefan Everts (Yamaha YZ450F) n’a pas forcé son talent dimanche en course. 5^e d’une première manche remportée par son compatriote Steve Ramon, le multiple champion belge (8 titres) s’est ensuite attaché à prendre de gros points en signant une deuxième 5^e place dans la manche suivante remportée par le Néo-Zélandais Ben Townley. 5^e overall, Everts concède quelques miettes à son plus féroce adversaire Joshua Coppins et du même coup garde intacte ses chances d’un 9^e titre mondial. Côté constructeurs, Yamaha conserve le leadership à égalité de points avec Honda.

Pour sa part, Mickaël Pichon, auteur d’une 10^e pole cette saison, a signé un nouveau podium (3^e) et conforte sa 4^e place au provisoire. Second de la première manche derrière Steve Ramon, il terminera 3^e de la manche suivante derrière Ben Townley et Joshua Coppins.

Au provisoire donc, Everts conserve l’avantage devant Coppins et Townley. Pichon 4^e et Leuret 7^e gardent leurs positions respectives.

MX2

La meilleure performance d’un pilote Yamaha en MX2 est tombée ce week-end dans l’escarcelle du pilote Yamaha Racing France Ipone Anthony Boissière (Yamaha YZ250F). 3^e derrière Antonio Cairoli (Yamaha YZ250F) et Alessio Chiodi (Yamaha YZ250F) dans sa manche qualificative le samedi, Boissière va effectuer deux manches particulières intéressantes pour les observateurs. 10^e seulement au départ de la 1^e manche remportée par Billy MacKenzie (Yamaha YZ250F), Anthony réussira à remonter jusqu’à la 8^e position derrière Mickaël Maschio (Yamaha YZ250F - Yamaha Racing France) et Christophe Pourcel. Dans la seconde manche, 6^e au départ, il terminera 5^e dans l’aspi de Carl Nunn pour prendre la 4^e place overall au pied du podium devant MacKenzie, Mickaël Maschio et Alessio Chiodi !

Entre temps, Antonio Cairoli, le leader du provisoire s’était offert la 3^e place de la 1^e manche avant de rencontrer des soucis sur sa machine en 2^e manche qui l’obligera à l’abandon.

Au provisoire, Yamaha conforte sa place de n°1 chez les constructeurs et Cairoli a suffisamment d’avance (40 points) sur l’Australien Andrew McFarlane pour voir venir à deux GP de la fin. Avec Alessio Chiodi, Yamaha confirme sa large domination aux trois premières places du championnat MX2.
